New Location! Update 28/06/2018

The Morisset Memorial Hall has been one of Drama Karma's premises for many years. It has served our needs well, and many fond memories were made there. Unfortunately, due to the collapsing ceiling and renovation of the town, the hall will be closed down.

We understand that the Morisset location is very convenient to a lot of students, and travelling to Toukley would be unfeasible for them. So Janine did a lot of research and hunting for a new home for Drama Karma that would be as close to here as possible. And I'm happy to announce that she has found one!

Tiffany Gibson of M.A.D. Dance (which also formerly operated in the Memorial Hall) has a studio in the Morisset industrial estate. There is an upstairs room which is currently under construction. This will be the new studio location for Drama Karma.

The construction being undertaken means that classes will most likely not resume until next term, 25th of July. This may change, and updates will be posted if that is the case.

The impact of this premises change is that eisteddfods and mid-year performances that were previously planned to occur around the start of the next term will not take place. But don't chuck out your scripts, we will find a different place and time to perform those pieces you have worked so hard on!

Additionally, Janine is now asking for expressions of interest for workshops. These would cover areas like theatresports, creative writing, script writing, and musical theatre. Please let Janine know if you are interested in any of these.

We truly appreciate your understanding at this time. It is unfortunate that Drama Karma had to leave its former home, and the students and families have to adjust to new location and travel needs. But we are also very grateful that a new home exists, and in it we hope that Drama Karma will continue to be an enjoyable and educational environment for its students.
